First Atlantic Capital, Ltd., a private equity investment firm specializing in acquiring and growing mid-size companies, today announced that Thomas A. Berglund has joined the firm as a Managing Director. Mr. Berglund brings over 12 years of private equity investment experience across a broad range of industries, as well as strong management consulting experience to First Atlantic. He will play a significant role in managing the firm's existing portfolio companies and in developing new investments for the firm.
Mr. Berglund joins First Atlantic Capital from Jupiter Partners, a middle-market private equity firm, where he was a Partner. At Jupiter, Mr. Berglund played a pivotal role in sourcing, financing, acquiring and managing portfolio companies in a variety of industry sectors.

Mr. Berglund joins other members of the First Atlantic team who use their significant strategic consulting experience and operating expertise to add substantial value to the firm's portfolio companies by improving operations, enhancing business strategy, and pursuing add-on acquisitions.
Prior to joining Jupiter Partners in 1994, Mr. Berglund spent three years as a Principal at the Invus Group, Ltd., a private equity firm specializing in food industry investments. Previously, Mr. Berglund was a Manager at Boston Consulting Group. Earlier in his career, Mr. Berglund was a researcher in the Microelectronics area at Bell Laboratories.
Mr. Berglund holds an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Science from Purdue University, and a Bachelor of Science from Lehigh University. |
